Trump Clears Hurdle, Remains on Illinois Presidential Primary Ballot

Former President Donald Trump will remain on Illinois' presidential primary ballot, as the State Board of Elections dismissed a challenge to his eligibility. The challenge was centered around Trump's alleged actions during the Capitol riot on January 6th, 2021. However, the board determined that the issue did not fall within its jurisdiction, allowing Trump to proceed in the Illinois primary.
