A bipartisan coalition of 39 attorneys general, led by North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, is intensifying efforts to address the soaring costs of prescription drugs. The coalition is urging Congress to pass legislation aimed at increasing transparency in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly targeting pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).

The attorneys general from 39 states are collectively advocating for legislative measures that would compel PBMs to enhance transparency in their operations.
