New York City Mayor Eric Adams has addressed the recent sentencing of Brooklyn pastor Lamor Whitehead, infamously known as "Bishop Bling," to nine years in prison. Whitehead, a pastor at Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in Canarsie, was found guilty of wire fraud, attempted extortion, and other charges.

Mayor Adams, responding to a reporter's query, confirmed that Whitehead, who claimed to have been a mentee of the mayor, remains in his prayers. Adams acknowledged a report by the Daily News that detailed text messages exchanged between him and Whitehead. These messages were seized by prosecutors and used as evidence. . .
