In a show of solidarity with Texas's efforts to bolster border security, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has thrown his support behind the state's border plan, leading to the deployment of Louisiana National Guard members to the Texas border region.

The Louisiana National Guard has dispatched more than four-dozen troops to Texas as part of Operation Lone Star, marking the first of three planned rotations. This move comes following Governor Landry's commitment to supporting Texas's border security initiatives, which have garnered support from a total of 13 Republican governors.
