In a proactive move just ahead of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane season, the House of Representatives has successfully passed the Fixing Gaps in Hurricane Preparedness Act. This bipartisan legislation, spearheaded by Central Florida Congressman Maxwell Frost, aims to enhance hurricane preparedness tools and alerts to better serve vulnerable populations, including seniors, people with disabilities, and non-English speakers.
