Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is scheduled to testify before Congress on July 12th, just one day after former President Donald Trump is sentenced in his hush-money case. Bragg, along with top prosecutor Matthew Colangelo, will appear before the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee.
Republicans have accused Bragg of "unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority," claiming that the case against Trump was politically motivated. Trump was convicted of falsifying business records to cover up payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to hide an alleged affair.
