San Diego has emerged as the leading city for migrant arrivals at the southern border, a position not held since the late 1990s. Border Patrol data reveals that San Diego surpassed Tucson, Arizona, in migrant apprehensions, with over 8,989 arrests in a single week compared to Tucson's 7,500.
